Usually I don't get involved in these discussions as I understand how impassioned many are, including yourself, but I can't be accepting that. I live very close by and the amount of abuse/anti-social behaviour UKIP campaigners have encountered (from those laughably assuming some form of moral high ground) is shameful. I'm not saying I'm a fan of UKIP, but both sides are guilty of that sort of behaviour...and the anti-UKIP lot have without question been the worst offenders.

I'm sure you are not surprised by this. To be honest, one look around the Internet tells you that the World is full of rabid lunatics of all creeds. The Anti facist and his like are among the very worst I would suggest.

Aahh the old Gusset deflect & move on response. From how I read it he didn't say that the (Link) was acceptable or unacceptable. He was merely stating that other parties asides from UKIP are as guilty of skullduggery. Do you agree with that?

Quote nickgusset at 23 Apr 2015 8.21pm

Last night Farage said it was 'natural' for people to favour immigration from India and Australia over that from former Communist countries.

Assuming that he was talking just for himself on this matter, what's 'natural' about it? Which bit of 'nature' does it come from? Or has he confused 'natural' with 'political opportunist' or 'culturally loaded' or 'bulls***-ish'? I understand 'natural' to be pretty well restricted to matters unaffected by human interaction….and given that everything we know, we know through our own consciousness and by and large have to express/interpret or mediate wholly or partly through language then even our way of knowing what is 'natural' is 'unnatural'.

I'm sure Farage thinks deeply about such things.

Why "assume" anything? Did you actually watch the interview, Are you just regurgitating from a "Hope not Hate" leaflet or some mouthfoamer on the t***tershpere? Or do you have issues understand what he said?

Pretext (response to Race-baiting question #30): "If you were running your own immigration policy [side-remark that we don't], do you think it would be a good idea to get a lot of people to come who didn't speak English? Do you think that would aid integration into society?"

Context: Race-baiting question #31, Evan Davis: "Do you favour some immigrants, let's say you have one from Mogadishu and one from Melbourne, do you have a preference"

Response: I have to admit *I* [not "people"] have a slight preference. I do think, naturally, that people from India and Australia are, in some ways, more likely to speak english, understand common law and have a connection with this country...

He then goes on to say that it's irrelevant, because under a skills-based points system, you take out all subjectivity (here I disagree, because you must subjectively define what skills you look for, or how they are "measured"...) and select based on what they can offer the country.

I'm sorry, but this just seems like bloody good sense to me, no matter how you try to spin it otherwise. Why not select the best candidates we can to come here and work?

The level of media distortion (indeed, that particular interview was a travesty) and hyperbole in this election is seriously wearing.

Are you saying they are UKIP members? This is NF, which is in no way affiliated with UKIP. Moreover, read the small print under the "Submit" button to join UKIP - they, along with BNP etc are prohibited from joining.

And yes, they're scum.

I don't get why there is anti UKIP protests to be honest. Just vote for someone other than UKIP. That's your protest.

This made me sigh out loud. I'm a UKIP voter. Some of what you say on here though actually comes close to making a good point a lot of the time. I don't always necessarily take the side of other UKIP voters when you get in an argument with them, but that response was poor and Jimenez was also right to call you on it further down this thread.

I understand they're not ukip. But from my understanding they've been making many forays into Thanet. I also agree that there are some undesirable anti ukip people about.

That wasn't my point, as others have thankfully noted. I'm just saying there needs to be a bit of balance with this sort of thing. To imply that UKIP and other 'associated groups' are the only ones guilty of harassment/abuse would be very far from the truth. I know you're an avid Labour man, I have voted for them in the past two elections myself, but you shouldn't let that blind you.

Of course all sides have their loons but does anyone have any examples of worse harassment than a group screaming into the faces of older people and a disabled young woman " paedophile appeasers " over and over whilst at the same time being physically intimidating?

That video is pretty sickening so any level comparisons kinda need to be backed up imo.
