I did too, shows some class. The party will get it either way, but not sp*nking it on 15 aides shows some integrity.

Fighting like cats in a sack Nigel Farage's chief of staff has been sacked after claims he helped turn the UKIP leader into a "snarling, thin-skinned, aggressive" man. Raheem Kassam is one of two advisers to be singled out for criticism by UKIP MEP Patrick O'Flynn in a Times article. Mr O'Flynn claimed Mr Farage had fallen under the influence of "aggressive" advisers and risked turning the party into a "personality cult". The other adviser, Matthew Richardson, quit his job earlier. Mr O'Flynn's article sparked a bitter row at the top of UKIP over whether Mr Farage should step down as leader. He stood down as party leader after failing to win the South Thanet seat in the general election, but was reinstated three days later when the party refused to accept his resignation. There is now a very clear divide at the top of UKIP. On one side there is Patrick O'Flynn, Douglas Carswell and another senior official who was prominent during the election campaign. On the other side is Nigel Farage, a tight circle of senior aides and the millionaire donor Arron Banks. The key moment that led to this was the leader's decision to stay on. Mr Farage said he was "persuaded" by "overwhelming" evidence from UKIP members that they wanted him at the top. It surprised some, including the party's only MP Mr Carswell. The Tories must be loving this. All that is required now is for the inevitably biased EU in-out vote question and the job is done. Supposed people power reduced to rubble as we end up with a government chomping at the bit to snuff out a few more civil liberties.

Would not be surprised if he confirmed he was stepping down for good as leader. Interesting times for UKIP. Can see them matching the big two in several years however I can just as likely see them falling away to the fringes. Can see them matching the big two in several years however I can just as likely see them falling away to the fringes.
