I treasure their friendship as a link to that which I left behind when I returned to the USA along with my many Palace friends. Why the police think they need to be inside the ground on Monday night is anyone's guess. I remember that with the score tied at 3-3, the West Midlands Police lined the perimeter of the Villa Park pitch even though the match was headed to extra time. I follow a lot of threads to see what's on the minds of fellow Eagles fans but I'm not a frequent contributor. Having followed this thread I can't help but think that there must surely be better targets for fury than: - Willo's preoccupation with the "standing" debate (someone even called for a moderator to block him - snitch or what!) - the character of Liverpool supporters (I seem to recall a humble reaction to being defeated by us in the FA cup semi final and a respectful response to our supporters when we sang through the 9-0 defeat at Anfield) Come on, we can do without infighting and gratuitous insults.
