He really is good - I've got alot of time for him. Articulate and incisive, which most pundits are not. Funny how, when he put on a football shirt, I thought he was the biggest knob ever, but now he's the exact opposite. Indeed, I like the way he takes a neutral stance with every match, even Utd. ones. Something that Carragher has a lot to learn from. The bold sums it up perfectly.

Thats what I love about our club - we do have seem to have developed this 'unconditional' support from somewhere I dont want to be West Ham, booing even when they win because of a misguided belief in their team and its position in life I dont want to be Arsenal, complaining about the noise in the away end when they play us with each goal being accompanied by polite clapping I dont want to be Man Utd, a stadium full of day trippers who dont distinguish between a day at Old Trafford and a Day at Madame Tussauds I dont want to be Chelsea who employ staff to wave flags and try to shake their now middle class support from its middle class expectaion and middle class apathy.. I have serious man love for this club at the moment
And the away support has always always been generally magnificent from way back before then even. Those seeds have now fully germinated with another 15,000 on board at Selhurst. A memorable season indeed.

We defend yes, but when we break we do it with pace, power and skill and showed them tonight what we can do. Beautiful it was too The post-mortem over here on NBCSN was similar, except the two Robbies, Earle and Mustoe, slated Liverpool's defense while giving Palace and TP credit for a never say die attitude. Earle was particularly complimentary of TP for having the courage to change the attacking focus with Gayle and Murray and taking off Puncheon even though he;s been the in-form player. The focus is on the title race, which Liverpool is a part of and we are not. However, all have been saying that Palace has been a definite influence by beating Chelsea and denying Liverpool two points. Also, much more focus on the supporters, with match commentators Arlo White and old Gooner Lee Dixon both making much of the "best supporters in the Prem" being at Selhurst Park. White's call of the third goal, "Gayle, HE SCOOORES!. ASTONISHING SCENES AT SEL-HURST PARK!" were at full voice. Lee Dixon's analysis gave Gayle full credit while slating Liverpool's defense. Same with Bolasie's run and Gayle's finish for the second goal. I also watched the Barclay League's highlight package and the call of third goal was eerily reminiscent of John Motson's "Gray, three-three!" in 1990, coming over as "Gayle, three-three." Back on NBCSN, White made mention of 1990, saying 4-3 was still possible but Palace didn't come back from 0-3 down back then.

They had a deflected goal. They scored a goal off an inch-perfect long pass from the halfway line. They scored two goals in two minutes in the 2nd half. They scored a goal that came from a sweeping move that went end-to-end in a flash, and was set up by great interplay between their two strikers.

Ours helped us more. Not to cheapen Delaney's great strike, of course. I hope the pundits carry on like this to be honest. I don't care if we don't get the credit we deserve, if it means people like BR will come down and expect to put 10 past us and leave their goal exposed.

Sorry, caught up with MOTD2 last night, I don't think Fowler really said anything wrong. He was talking about Johnson's defending, he mentions a ball being pumped forward and the control displayed by Murray but his point was that Johnson should have been closer to Gayle. If that's as bad as it gets then I think we are all getting a tad over sensitive
