Unfortunately it looks like Jules has taken the decision to leave Palace. If that means he turns out for another club, presumably from the lower reaches of the league, I for one will wish him luck and contribute to a golden handshake. He has become as big a legend as John Stonewall Jackson and deserves our gratitude whatever or wherever he deems to do and go. Good luck Jules and thanks for the memories.

You have absolutely no grounds whatsoever for arriving at that conclusion.

Wife beating may be socially acceptable in Sheffield, but it is a different matter in Cheltenham

Us fans know nothing, so all this is pure speculation. All we DO know is what we've been told by Pulis and Parish ...

Parish said Jules will be offered a new contract without doubt.

Whether it will be number 1 who knows ... what TP said was that everyone will start with a clean slate in the summer and will pick from that, which is fair enough.

From the way some people are reacting, you would think Speroni should have been included in the Papal Canonzation the other week.

Yes he's been a great servant to us and has made some excellent saves of late, but he's also made a number of errors (as one would expect). Hennessey will no doubt do likewise but let's give him a chance.

Player of the year, says it all, so why does Hennessey deserve his chance? If Speroni was underachieving yes, but he isn't..

Quite right. Should we also drop Joel Ward next season to give Jack Hunt a chance as we paid a lot for him too

Absolutely, in every interview Speroni has openly stated "He wants to stay at Palace" and he was waiting for an offer.

Beside that Speroni is no different to any of the other players out of contract next month, none have as yet been offered new contracts, but that's not to say they wont be, the club will offer contracts to those they consider will take the club forward.

Maxipalace, when did you get hold of Adrian B's log in details?

I think Jules will stay, even if he's not guaranteed to be No1. At least we will have the best No2 keeper in the league. When he's ready to hang his gloves up he will join the coaching staff to tutor our young keepers, it's a natural progression, they can learn so much from a legend like him.

I've heard rumours that Hennessey has been told he can play in goal against fulham. I've heard from the same source that Speroni has signed a new contract, but also that when Hennessey signed he was told he'd be number 1 next year.

The Fulham game is a nothing game, with them down, and us safe, its effectively going to be a training game I suspect for fringe and bench players. It makes sense for Hennessey to play.

Jules will be offered a contract, whether he accepts it is another matter. He may well be in Brazil over the summer, so it might be a case that nothing is finalised yet, or that other more lucrative offers are on the table. Personally, I'd keep him on the basis of his performance this season and his consistancy since stepping into the first team spot. He's barely missed a game in about eight years!

If thats his last game at Selhurst, what a game to go out on. He was absolutely phenominal, and as far as I'm concerned a Palace Legend. I still don't know how we kept hold of him for so long.

I can't imagine that Pulis would promise anyone a starting place without them proving it. Thats not how his style works.

You can't beat a good number 2.

All good. Nothing bad.

Sounds like backtracking to me. Of course he's going to leave one day. Everyone will leave eventually. But you're saying that he's going to leave at the end of this season and I'm afraid I'm going to have to challenge you again on this point: what grounds do you have for thinking that's the case (other than just an unsubstantiated hunch)?
