His importance is a potential problem and one I expect TP will be looking to cover.

If Jedi is suspended or injured we presently have no adequate replacement. A long term injury would be a disaster and we cannot allow that to be the case as we look to push forward as a team.

He is indestructible so it is unlikely that he would get a serious injury. Suspension would require him to wear shoe polish and pretend to be KG, ala 'it ain't half hot mum'.

Jedi is the one player who will be marked out of games next year. It didn't happen last season as, I suppose, the opposing sides hadn't worked it out. Lets hope he is up for it, because if he isn't Palace will find it hard. Unless TP changes the style and line-up.

Why would they mark him out of the game, his passing is so poor on occasions that he gives the ball away a lot anyway. Its not like he's a Pirlo or Gerrard figure who's spraying balls left right and centre dictating the tempo, he's the man who does the marking, not is being marked.

If they were to mark anyone it would Chamakh/Bolasie

When Jedi went off against Fulham the difference was obvious. We just didn't look the same team without him.

Keeping hold of him is vital, and adequate cover in case on injury or suspension is also crucial.

You're right he isn't the best passer of the ball, particularly over short distances. However, he does have the tendency to hit quite a few stunning long balls. If you went over all our goals this season and last you'd be surprised by how much they are a result of one of his passes.

Anyhow, I doubt he'd be the one being marked out games because as you rightly said Jedi is the one doing the marking and making all the crucial interceptions for the likes of Chamakh, Puncheon and Yala to counter.

Absolutely right Gerrard over Jedi everytime and Gerrard only made a few bad passes against us (not quite hit and hope more putting the ball where the man has to run to) on the other hand against (in theory) a better team I don't remember too many misplaced passes from Jedi (strangely enough the same as most games this season).
Chuck enough mud and some of it will stick. Eventually. Have a look at his stats, not 100% accuracy but then I don't think many (none actually) managed it this season or any other.

Enjoying getting up later and not having someone who knows better than me (apart from the missus of course).

I suspect what you were trying to say is he'll get a lot more 'attention' next season which will be evident in the marks on his legs and subsequent games missed through injury. He's a beast but with a World Cup to come this summer he'll miss games next season for sure

You are right mate Pulis has got to find a back up for Jeddi who is nearly as good as Jeddi so we could if needs be rotate and also have adequate cover for him. Anybody got somebody in mind?

Mark Milligan? we almost signed last season and would also settle very quickly I'd imagine.
