Now he is a player! An absolute brick wall of a defender and can bomb on!

Talksport reports that Caulker is having a medical with Qpr today,i say let Qpr have this over priced championship defender who was part responsible for a Cardiff defence who leaked 73 goals.

We can get value for money elsewhere,Hangaland is available on a free,Dawson we can get for around £3 million so don't be to upset that we have missed out.

I still think its a pity,, the last thing we want is a strong QPR defensive unit, but as you say, lets move on. TP and Moody will unearth a good quality CB, cheaper

I don't know if losing out is a bad thing. 8m is a lot of money on one player who ultimately played a small part in a shambles last season. Let QPR do what they do. If they go down they are fcuked but have no sympathy from me as they played similar games two seasons ago.

If I were Pulis I'd be looking at the lad at forest, or even making a cheeky enquiry about Micah Richards. I'd also be looking at left back over a centrehalf anyhow.

It's disappointing IF we were ever after Caulker. However, as per usual we are a classy outfit and at no stage used the media to court this player. Redknapp is a massive Cnut who uses his contacts in the media to force issues. If I am honest I only wanted Caulkner to piss him off.

Though it's a shame that QPR have beaten us to Caulker, it's comforting to be linked with a defender of his calibre. Still, QPR and their undeserved riches are welcome to him.

It's funny to see QPR throwing money at players left and right while we are biding our time. The likes of Hangeland and Dawson are realistic options, even a cheeky bid to bring Fonte back would be more than welcome.

Patience is a virtue. Palace will get a CB cover soon.

There have been a few comments that Caulker can't be much good as Cardiff were a shambles last season and were ultimately relegated.

Let's not forget that in October we were an absolute shambles and were rock bottom of the division and everyone's favourite for relegation yet Tony Pulis turned it around using almost the same players that got us into the mess

This was happening last season, with Cardiff,Norwich,Fulham and Hull, and we finished above all of them. Am sure we will be getting excited about someone else in the next few weeks.

Just when I thought that I was out...........they pull me back in

I must admit was / am disappointed with the Caulker thing as do think he would have added a lot but if we landed a Micah Richards type, big, strong, pacey who can play RB and CB comfortably I would wet my knickers

As for Caulker - He seems to be a glutton for punishment - He is going to have fun carrying Rio all next season

And earning less money than Rio.

I'm looking forward to seeing how exposed Rio gets next season without a powerful midfield in front of him.
