Time to resurrect this one I think.

I understand the concerns (twice relegated - poor last year), but he's still only 23 and undoubtedly has talent. We've also got a recent history of getting the best out of our CB's (see Dann, Delaney, Gabbidon etc).

Obviously price dependent but would love to see him sign.

I tend to agree with this. Obviously a risk, but one I think is probably worth taking.

Sydenham by birth. Selhurst by the Grace of God.

He is not quite in the Helga Hreidesson class of relegated players. Signing him the footballing equivalent of the "black spot" in treasure Island

Not for £8m it's not, if he's an £8m CB then Dann must be worth £80m as he's twice the player.

Eh? Surely that makes him £16m?

Anyway. I'm not against Caulker. Was good prior to the last two farcical sides he's played for - and still young.

Plus £8m for us now is not quite the audacious sum of cash that it was. I'd imagine a figure nearer £5-6m is more realistic anyway. While I'll admit he has potential, the relegations aren't going to have put his value up.

Not sure about that. He did play for England at a number of junior levels, and played well at Cardiff. Nobody played well at QPR last season, and as others have said, his value has probably gone down. So probably a bit of a 'bargain' at todays prices

Latest from SSN

Steven Caulker has handed QPR a boost by stating he will be at the club next season.

Speaking to Sky Sports News HQ, he said: “At the moment I’m staying at QPR. I’m settled there and there’s a much more positive vibe this year. Everyone’s feeling confident ahead of the season and we’re looking to go on and do good things.

“I can’t assure them because things change but as it stands I’ll be at QPR.”

HAHA. Not so smug now turning us down TWICE!

Over rated would rather put a cheeky bid in for Jose Fonte.
