Could you imagine if it was the other way round? The outcry! The condemnation! The nutters howling about how evil the western world is and how innocent Muslims are and peaceful Islam is! Oh wait, they do...

Save the Assyrians. Save the 8 million Egyptian Christians. Save the real innocent.

Sky news reporting another case of 'blasphemy' in pakistan today. Police watched by as a mob killed women and children minorities.

This has happened the World over since we gave up the Empire.

Draw your own conclusions.

If you look at Islam around the world there are only really a few places where it is at all acceptable to a western mindset.

Still.....You rarely get lefties (though some do speak out) focusing upon that because...Like Birmingham council...They are scared of difficult issues.

If someone could accuse them of Islamophobia or of 'pandering' to an 'evil' element they just don't get involved.

That inaction is responsible for quite a lot of harm within society....Which is probably, to be fair to them the opposite of what they intend.

I accept that in some "left" circles there has been a contradiction when seeking to make inroads in the muslim community and/or where there are (especially in foreign policy) issues of joint interest. I well remember my ex-wife's heated argument with the SWP years ago over failure to criticise attitudes towards women when seeking links with muslim groups.

But, that said, we must be careful not to demonise all muslims because of the extremist actions of some (certainly here very much a minority)and bear in mind there have been plenty of random assaults in the UK on people for no more than seemingly being of the muslim faith; something to be very unproud of. Its no different,in essence, than failing to distinguish between all Jews and the actions of the Israeli government. But I have to say, the more I learn about the strain of Wahhabi Islam prevalent in many strands today of Islamism and jihadism, I conclude it is seriously bad news and not receiving the focus it might, even on the level of a non muslim being unable to give evidence against a muslim under their interpretation of sharia law, let alone reportedly cutting off people's hands, as in Iraq recently, for watching the world cup on TV.

ISIS are a threat to Christians and Muslims, the recent fatwa regarding the enforcement of female genital mutilation. ISIS hold sway over large parts of Syria across the Iraqi border as well.

Its a concern for all people in the area who don't want to live in fear and terror.

and don't overlook it is their West Bank "franchise" that has claimed responsibility for the kidnapping and murder of the 3 Israeli kids in June...

Saudis have a lot to answer for (apart from being prime funders of Wahhabism being promulgated widely and becoming influential in many mosques world wide). They funded and encouraged ISIS early on as a useful tool in their anti-Shia regional contest with Iran...

You are right of course. As a side note, should americans who go and fight for the IDF be allowed back into America?

Why would an ultra-radical Monotheistic Islamic movement name themselves after the Egyptian Polytheistic Goddess of Nature and Magic and Wife of Horus, Isis?

Doesn't add up.

Absolutely not, but then I'm British so that's up to the Americans. Incidentally (last week I think) Norway were warned of an Imminent attack from these c***s coming back from the warzone to Norway.
It's going to be an absolute pennies from heaven scenario for all these Human rights lawyers when they eventually return home. Hopefully most of them will be carpet bombed before this happens.
