My post was to kermit and nick, not you elgrande, you just happened to post while I was writing mine.

The title says everything you'd like to say, nick. I don't see a Blair and Rolf thread.

And your post a few up kermit mentions the hotbed of labour that's Islington, and then strays into "Tory MP.." .

I've not read the whole thing and tried to avoid it previously due to the predictability of it all.

See if you can just find five minutes to read this link,a letter from Liz Davies, whom I think is the Islington social worker referred to in my earlier post this evening,to the Prime Minister in 2012,as pertinent now as then. Then, try looking into a mirror with a straight face and saying "what an irrelevance to have a pathetic thread about. What a waste of my time to take an interest in things like this or to be concerned by them.I will only take it seriously if posters can find something of equal concern about politicians of an opposite party too"

That's not what I've said though, is it? You're being another drama queen.

The attempt to blame child abuse on political party, and the subsequent denial of doing so, is laughable.

You lot are not highlighting it, you're point scoring.

Thatcher and the royalScottish
were both close gonfidents of Savile. Are we to believe that m15 etc would not have known he was a pedophile and tip them off. According to Edwin currie thatcher knew of pedophiles working alongside side her.

For those who still want to on one hand suggest that all paedo politicos are equally as bad and then trot out a long list of Tory or Labour MP's exclusively here's a list of politicos and local councillors who have actual convictions for sexual offences.

[Link]

Foro example, Mark Tann - former Labour party activist who met the Blairs on several occasions guilty of raping a 4 year old girl on two occassions - which using the logic of the thread means the Blairs MUST have known - there, see how easy it is to make up spurious bollocks....

One galringly obvious point that hasnt been made yet (I dont think) is that many people who were friends with the nonce, didnt know he was one.

His family for instance people like his own flesh and blood didnt know he was a sex case, so how or why should Thatcher know ?

I mean granted, looking at him, you wouldn't trust him with your pet scorpian, let alone your kids, but things where very different back then.

There's also a certain amount of judgement going on here using 2015 yardsticks, that have the benefit of over 30 years of continuing (thank fcuk) attitude changes towards children and there well being.

Jerry Sadowitz did, in 1988 he did a stand up set about the shenanigans in Cleveland where he outed Jimmy Saville as a 'child bender'

Its not remotely laughable - its actually hugely grubby, political points scoring that appears to be written to assert some ridiculous self image of 'right-on ness' which says more about the person posting than anything else.

A supremely childish and simplistic notion of 'my lot good, their lot bad' - it demonstrates exactly why partisan politics is an utter sham.

I can only speak for myself, whom you lump in as one of "you lot".

I have posted in this thread about Thatcher and I have posted about Margaret Hodge. That's fact. But don't let reality stand in the way of your own prejudices.

You are quite right that paedophilia knows no political boundaries, nor do cover ups.Mark Tann, a local Labour activist in Kent was imprisoned about 12 years ago. He had used a photo of himself with the Blairs to try and convince people he would be a good babysitter,a matter exploited by Nick Griffin of the BNP. No suggestion,so far as I am aware. the Blairs did or could have known about his proclivities or of any top level Labour Party cover up. Some may think that the differences between that and the alleged high level Thatcher government cover up matters are important ones. One of Thatcher's top advisers was well known in senior party circles to be a paedophile. Saville was invited personally to multiple christmas lunches and knighted, despite warnings not to do so.The alleged Thatcher government matter has yet to be fully investigated or come into the public domain.

If being bothered by that makes me a "drama queen" in your view, well you are entitled to your opinion, but it may say more about you than me.

I have posted in this thread about Thatcher and I have posted about Margaret Hodge. That's fact. But don't let reality stand in the way of your own prejudices.

Some may think there is a slight difference between a prime minister having a close political adviser, well known in senior party circles as being a paedophile, or having a celebrity to xmas dinner multiple times and knighting them when warned not to,with meeting a party activist a few times with no evidence the senior politician could or should have known about the activists' proclivities. You apparently don't,and that's a matter for you.

If I have a 'prejudice' and is exactly the point of my posts on the subject, it is against those who show absolutely no balance in their posts but use it for shoring up their own 'right on' credentials. Whether you believe you are lumped in a 'lot' - well that's a matter for you isn't it ?

In terms of the matter being discussed....

Do I think Thatcher and other senior Tories knew about senior political, judicial, business and showbiz figures being paedophiles and covered it up or at best kept their fingers in their ears and eyes closed - yes I do. I don't know so though.

Do I think senior Labour figures know / knew the same, do I believe senior Liberals would have known about Smith and theirs ? Again though I don't know so I think they did.

It would seem from the accusations regards both Dolphin Sq and Elm Guest House that amongst others, senior politicians, from right across the political spectrum (inc Sinn Fein who have their own child rape issues at the moment) were involved.

Rather than posters getting out their red or blue rosettes and hissing at each other perhaps people should concentrate more on the fact their seems to have been, on a monumental and systematic scale a violent sexual abuse of children and a concerted effort by political figures of all persuasions to keep that under wraps - for once it would seem those who inhabit Westminster have a cross party consensus and unity, namely that they cant let their secrets out.

For Westminster and the political system as a whole the truth would be catastrophic for them, which is why we will never get it.

If we discover Kermit has been killed with a single shot to the back of the neck in Lidls car park, Newton Abbott with the only clue being someone skipping away whistling 'Wired for Sound' then we might have found a piece to the jigsaw

Exactly what I was getting at.

You'd think from this thread that those suspected of knowing someone, or something, are worse than the abusers themselves.
