According to this, Cameron is implicated in covering up establishment paedophilia whilst working for carlton TV. Apparently carlton bought out central TV so that the cook report (which was investigating Ken Clarke) could be pulled.

Haven't a clue how true any of this is...

Just do some teaching or marking or something, would make a welcome change from your tedious leftie smearing....

You married yet, btw?

Jackson.. Wan Bissaka.... Sansom.. Nicholas.. Cannon.. Guehi.... Zaha... Thomas.. Byrne... Holton.. Rogers.. that should do it..

Then they should be prosecuted if true. Cameron has said teachers and social workers should get 5 years for not disclosing information if they think something is up, same should apply to the establishment.

I strongly believe that MPs and ministers convicted of serious crimes, such as cover ups etc should face charges on a par with treason.

Irrespective of their political party - and they should be banned from ever serving in any public office or public facing office in the future.

Not convinced. I would imagine that after he defected from the Tories any interest in protecting him would have dropped away. Sinn Heffer must have dug pretty deep for his biography. If he thinks it is nonsense then his opinion carries some weight. Any evidence about other MPs, if it exists, would have squirrelled away by Mi5 so no one will find it I suspect.

Until of course he went to trial and named everyone else who was involved. Its not just a conservative thing (cyril smith for example), it'll be cross party and even individuals outside of government. The alleged Elm House guest list includes some very high ranking Intelligence members.

Likely as not such a circle would be protected, from the media and their procalvities faciliated to prevent the risk of corruption by foriegn agents (imagine the impact had the soviets gotten a hold of the story and pictures).

The really tragic thing to come from this is going to be that the establishment weren't just covering this up, they were providing a 'safe controlled haven' to prevent Soviet spys (esp when you consider the Perfumo affair was still fresh). The big fear wasn't ever really about someone being found out by the public - in that case they could likely as not deal with it, but that the 'wrong people' would find out (ie procurers would be linked to soviet agents).

Simon Heffer, who is Powell’s authorised biographer, told the Mail on Sunday, which revealed the claims against the former politician, that he considered them to be “absolute nonsense”.

Probably not the best turn of phrase there, or is Simon dropping hints.

That's quite an interesting point. Surely the Soviets would have been aware if this was as prevalent as we have been led to believe? The odd person getting away with it fair enough but the way it's been talked about at the moment is that you were odd if you weren't a nonse.

Being aware, but the key is getting sufficent 'penetration' to obtain suitable evidence for blackmail and manipulation, which is a different matter. It might well be that the Security Services saw providing 'an outlet' they controlled, as a means of protecting the establishment, as well as a means of controlling elements within it.

Certainly, Cyril Smith was protected as the nascent Liberals were a preferred option to the Left (back then even Labour was left wing - and it had a lot of pro-marxists and pro-soviets).
