Sad news.
If my memory serves me right, he signed on deadline day 76/77 from Derby and transferred out the following season. Not very fast but good positional sense and a composed finisher. His goals made a huge impact in our promotion run in, including that amazing game at Wrexham.

I am still here!

Very sad news. He was one of our best games to goals goalscorers. I was there when Jeff scored that all important goal at Wrexham!

Very sad news, especially at such a reasonably young age.
Jeff was a big part of the 77 promotion team and Terry Venables' first management success.
He had superb close control, laid the ball off well and must've had a very good goals-to-game ratio.

Thanks for the memories Jeff, rest in peace

Gawd - it's starting to happen. My boyhood heroes are getting older. Wonder who from The Team of the Eighties will be the first to go

Very sad news and the guy was relatively young. Will be remembered affectionately by us older fans. Our thoughts go out to his family. RIP Jeff.
