Hopefully the Remy rumour will die now. Mourinho will have surely loaned us Bamford with a view to him frequently appearing and us signing Remy puts a big fat block on that. I don't think loaning us Bamford and then us signing Remy plays into the Mourinho masterplan

I agree. Mourinho has loaned us Bamford but definitely won't be selling us Remy too. This one's not happening folks, not this window anyway. I think that he loaned us Bamford so that we'd stop persuing Remy this season. If Bamford works out I can see Bamford returning to Chelski and then Remy becoming available - possibly at a better price.

Mourinho wants Bamford to try his luck at a higher level; with Boro not going up a club like us is ideal, and it means we'll stop trying for Remy. I know he said he wanted to fight for his place at Chelsea but now pedro has arrived surely that'll force him down the pecking order , maybe make a loan move for him would be fantastic to bring him in

If I was Pards I would try very hard to make Remy happen over the next three days. We are in a position of strength and this may be the time to push the boat out. Falcao's goal yesterday might also help open the door on this one just a tiny crack. To be fair, I do not think Chelsea will let him go but they are a team in transition right now, they are really not using Remy after four games to a degree that he is likely to be happy with, and we are probably a much more attractive destination for Remy than it appeared a month ago. I don't think it will happen, but it's worth asking the question.

We're a more attractive proposition now given the way we've started the season and maybe Pards and Cabaye in his ear could see this over the line. Even on Saturday when they were facing certain defeat, there was still no sign of Remy. He's too good to be sitting on the bench every week. Even for Chelsea. He can't be happy with that. As sad as I am to see Murray looking like he's going, if he and Gayle were to go and we got Remy I can't see how anyone could see that as anything other than progress. For the record, I don't think Chelsea will sell him, but he's the one I've always wanted through this transfer window, much more so than Austin. Maybe this isn't dead yet.
