I believe the bible is just a mixture of real life events, mixed in with stories and translation after translation, it gets changed. Maybe something did come down from the heavens - an ET, that wouldn't be too hard to believe. Made man in his own image - DNA splicing and genetics
Left an will return - again speaks for itself. Now i know i am really simplifying it, but it's up the individual how they wish to interpret the bible - if at all. Al i know is, why so many religions? and would a god really want you on your knees worshiping it your whole life? Doubt it. Until one is actually presented to me in real life, i will carry on being good to others, treating people and life here on earth with respect - just how i think any rational 'god' would expect.

I don't know about 'inferior', but I share anyone's disdain for 'religiousness', as it was these types people (the Pharasees etc) that opposed and got Our LORD Jesus Christ crucified. These 'religious' types exist today even posing as Christians and still oppose Jesus (He is resurrected and alive through His Body the Universal Church). I thought that was Judas, and that it was essentially pre-ordained and a necessity, without the crucifixion the whole Christian movement wouldn't have gotten off the ground (or it would arguably been a very different movement). That's a fairly righteous statement to make.

It was so real and physical an experience I think I exclaimed an expletive. I heard millions of angels singing like CPFC had just won the FA cup. I have never been the same since. I now am a teacher, my Christian wife is a scientist, my 3 boys are all Christian. My life of sin has turned around and I speak to Jesus anytime I want and I know his voice when he speaks to me. How did the above happen? I humbled myself, asked a God I wasn't sure existed to forgive me, and God rushed to hug and restore me. Read the story of the prodigal son for what really, spiritually happened (Luke 15:11-32). I really wish the same blessing for you and all who post on here, regardless of how insulting your responses, because Jesus forgave others for me when he hung on the cross. Please say she's a Biologist

eternal hell sounds a bit much for anyone. Churches now don't even mention it. They know that nobody wants to hear it. They'll tell you it once they've entrapped you but it will never be a part of the initial intro. sounds pretty rubbish to me. The one thing they won't acknowledge is their complete disregard for the environment which all religious people should make an effort to take care of. Most environmentalists are becoming vegan or at least cutting down on the meat they are eating as they understand there is a link between diet and the state of the environment. Its a shame that christians arent trying to do something similar. People like william booth(founder of the salvation army), ellen white (founder of the 7th day adventists) and william wilberforce (who was a christian and helped to found the rspca)acknowledged that animals should be respected and they, as christians should be prominent in setting an example of showing respect to them. This was in a time long before factory farming and before much was known about the importance of a diet free of red meat and the impact of diet on the environment. Christians may go to heaven but their disregard for the state of the environment is a shame as they should really be the ones setting an example.

You might like to see this: From the title I would think that it is a preacher proposing eternal hell for all who think differently from his particular belief system and i'm sure I could find opposing preachers who would tell him that he's headed exactly the same place for not believing in their particular belief system. A god of love who is going to send everyone to eternal hell. I think for most people that is pretty confusing.

If you are confused, get yourself educated so you are no longer confused. Check what the facts are about the Bible, the historical Jesus, etc. Ignorance won't help you on the day you meet your maker.
