Just send all the fu-king migrants back or shoot them, then there will be no more homeless as it will free up untold houses,

Also it will give us our construction work back again, also the migrants wont be hanging around B&Q begging for OUR work

Hard to argue against his simple logic though isn't it?

Last year our population grew by over 500,000 of which 300,000 were migrants.

We simply cannot cope with the housing demand that unfettered immigration causes.

That isn't logic, unless by Logic you mean ignorant hatred. What a prize pillock , I feel sorry for Adolf (Or Colin as he calls himself)if that's how he really thinks.

Hoorah reborn, fair play, there are some doughnuts on here with their easily-sold 1-line arguments.

Overpopulation is a global problem anyway. China had it right with the one-child policy, they say there would be nearly 500m extra people on the planet had they not enforced it. That is untenable.

Sorry to replace one extreme view with another...

You should look into the abortion rates for girls in china oh & the staggering amount of girls who live in orphanages.

Horrific problem, I've seen first-hand how China neglect their homeless, disabled, and basically anyone who cannot contribute as part of a functioning society. It's wrong, but I genuinely would like to know what the alternative to a limitation on births could be, because we cannot continue to expand our populous at the current rate.

Want to solve the housing shortage? all it will take is for a government to have the balls to tell the building conglomerates to f*** off & look into alternative means of housing.

Tiny homes (get past alot of planning permission because they sit on trailers) Cost on average £8k up
[Link]
Narrow boats (more residential moorings) £10k up
Pre Fabricated homes - remember them?
Holiday properties - just make them residential.
Container homes - Cheap and easy to outfit
[Link]
Train Carriages - Incredibly popular after the war.
[Link]

Everyone has the right to be able to buy their own home be that a stately mansion or a humble hut, this obsession with bricks & mortar forcing everyone into either spending hundreds of thousands on a bedsit & being a slave to a mortgage company for 30 years or being at the mercy of a landlord who fleeces you for your entire wage a month is unhealthy.

All of my examples are incredibly cheap to build & keep warm in winter, they wont stand for hundreds of years but thats not really the point of them & the wastage once they need scrapping is minimal anyway.

It would enable first time buyers to own their own property for as little as £10,000, rent on these properties could be capped to keep costs down, this would also have the effect of reducing costs on the bricks & mortar market as demand is reduced bringing down costs for people looking to move up the ladder.

Housing crisis solved in under a year, easy.

Good post. There's a batch of prefabs still standing and used in Catford. I think there's now threats of closure but there's no doubt we've had value for money.

Well put sir. Not an ironic smilie in sight either.

By way of comment though, for admission to the SS, the NAZIs required evidence of German ancestry traced back to some arbitrary date in the 1700s [?]. I would wonder if you could pass that test in terms of your Englishness. If so, then well done you. You are a rare one in what has always been a racial melting pot of a country.

Indeed, if you look at a significant number of people around you when you are next watching a match or grabbing a pint in your local [including ethnically white people with London accents who properly place "White British" on any questionnaire] , remember that a significantly high minority [including me] are the product of immigration.

In other words, you have a hatred that covers a significant % of the population around you including, I strongly suspect, many of your own friends.

I believe the young people call that being 'owned'

The problem with pre-fabs is that you can't sell them easily, as no one will give you a mortgage to buy them.

Trouble is they're single storey, so a waste of land for council stock. You'd need to CPO the whole lot, knock them down and make better use of the land by building upwards.

Didn't watch all of that but they're very impressive.
