What a prospect - Labour +SNP in government!

I predict the Tories will be the largest party, form a minority government and dare the opposition to vote them out.

With the Lib Dems so its at least centre left government which is great.

The plus will be it will be dependent on proportional representation in future to get fist past the post off our backs. The drawback - for those of us that like the UK will - be a further move to the end of the uk.

The irony will be that Thatcher saved UK ownership of the Falkland Islands (though she didn't defend it well in the first place) but set in place the neo-liberal policies that ended the UK.

I wonder how history will judge things in terms of which would be better to preserve?

I think they're a bit optimistic about the number of seats that UKIP will get, I reckon they will lose at least 50% of the seats they currently hold and don't see where they will get another 3 seats.

If you think the Tories will have anything like a majority you are about to be disappointed, they will probably finish second, and I don't think UKIP will be able to allow them to form a government.

There will probably be another election within 12 months as no party will be able to form an effective government.

I think we might see another 1992 scenario where the polls get it completely wrong.

Kinnock was way ahead in the polls but Major won.

Simply because the people of this country will not vote in Red Ed in the same way they didn't want the Welsh windbag.

How would this be a repeat of that scenario though, when both the bookies and the polls think the tories will win more seats?

I mean that at the moment the polls have it pretty close but I think the Tories will win alot more of a majority on the basis that many people are put off by Ed Millibland.

Love him or loathe him Cameron is a far better statesman, politician and leader and up against that wet blanket Ed it is no contest

Oh I see. Yes, I wouldn't be surprised one bit. So many aspect are in the balance. Votes to the greens and UKIP are rather fragile, so any change there for instance could massively change the outcome of the election.

I've never been very impressed by Cameron, but I accept that Milliband is an even harder sell. He just doesn't connect. The most skilled and competent party leader funnily enough is Farage... but he's constantly having to reassure the electorate due to the motley crew that make up the party, so has his own challenges.
