Huge apologies..but was hoping some eagle in the estate agent/legal profession could help me...

I am two weeks away from exchanging on a house. However, over the weekend I saw another one come on the market in an area that would work better for me. I want to make an offer on it!

My question is ......Will pulling out of buying the first house cost me anything financially if we have not exchanged yet? I am aware that I am the start of the chain, so along line this may cause other issues...but am Imresponsible for any of them?

Your solicitor will have to start afresh.

If he doesn't charge you, can I have his name, because I am in the reverse position to you.
