Firstly, sorry for the other threads started regarding this issue; that is a tad annoying.
MODS; if you want to make this the 'official' thread of the Gen elections then go ahead.

Anyway...

It is great to see so many replies, and it is extremely interesting reading through your opinions with one another.

There is a lot of talk this morning about the SNP gaining a large proportion of votes; they are the last people i want in Westminster.

It does appear i am swinging to a Tory vote, although i am still hesitant about this!

I have read through the different links people have put up; i suppose it leads me to propse this question to the HOL'ers;

Who do you think will win the election and why?

RIP staffie

I read this comment and thought it summed up a few good issues the UK has on a whole.

the UK is one of the most miserable and depressing places on earth, your not allowed to have fun your not allowed to have a future without restrictions your not allowed to go anywhere as everyone is looked at as a terrorist, you have no free speech you have no freedom, all young are criminals even before going to court, your under police state rules you are guilty before proven innocent, you cannot protest is seen as uncivilized as the MPs keep telling us as that suites the MPs that way they don't have to bother with it what ever it is.

You have no democracy as they have taken your rights off you to vote, They have squeezed people pockets that much to make money for the EU everyday of the tune of 55 million per day, Most have not had a pay rise in over 7 years, yet the lazy f***s in Government give the selves a pay rise of 11% because they think they deserve it but for what?

They bring out more nasty laws everyday so you get less in life look at disabled people they get there money stopped by ATOS go though the stress of getting it back while in the mean time thousands die of starvation and look at unemployment people because of no fault of there own get sanctioned an have no money from 3 months to 3 years and on it goes...

And your relying on this lot in power to do some thing lol give it rest and wake up FFS.

And all this badness is because of MPs The public have done nothing as they have not had a vote on anything since the eighties since the government change from democracy to party politics and only they get to think and vote.

Fortunately or unfortunately you have no say in the matter. You aren't a Scottish voter (I presume) and so have no impact in the consitutencies that can actually vote for SNP candidates.

And they will win seats in some of those constituencies and so they will enter Westminster. And will have every right to do so.

If you mean you don't want them in government, then you have slightly more say, but still pretty much nil. Unless you're in one of the key swing consitutencies in the UK then your vote will have no impact on the outcome of the election.

And that is the FPP system of democracy that we have in this country.

No one will win the next general election. I think the biggest single party will be the Tories, but in all likelihood the Lib Dems won't have enough seats to get them to another coalition government. Which means it will either be a minority administration or Labour and the SNP and the Lib Dems and the Greens may be able to form a slightly 'grander' coalition if the electoral maths works.

I think that the very possibility of a SNP-Labour coalition should be broadcast from every vantage point from now until the election and maybe this will be enough to focus minds and get people voting. I'd rather a Labour majority, than a Lab/SNP alliance in Gov.

I would be inclined to change those words to "Conservative majority" as I certainly do not want another Labour government undoing all the good work being done and descend again into another big recession with the way Labour like to spend spend spend and spend. I also like a military deterrent that will be scrapped if the other parties get in...Be safe and FEEL safe is my motto.

I would much rather an outright Tory majority too, the point I was trying to make is that I'd next rather a Labour Government than a Lab-SNP coalition - which at the moment seems to be the most likely outcome.

I think many may adopt this view!

UKIP have gone AWOL i think and this is a three horse race; 2 if you consider the options.

Torie led government.

Labour/SNP

The latter sounds somewhat disturbing.
