If you happen to have dark skies & live in the Midlands up tonight, there's a good chance you'll see the aurora borealis, currently the earth is getting blasted by a solar flare that is off the charts (kp9 being the biggest we record)
So if you're having any trouble with electronic devices it's probably to do with this.

if it was dark over the south now we would see the aurora here.
