The sacking was badly handled but having done it I think that he should stay sacked and we should be rebuilding for the future and blooding the next generation of batsmen. We don't have much time as the powers that be made a real mess in West Indies by trying to see whether Trott would make an opening batsman to say nothing of ignoring Rashid and Plunkett who may have made a difference to our attack, or at the very least provided some variety

I've all but written off our chances against NZ never mind the ashes. Going back to Peter Moores was the biggest mistake of all. As I read elsewhere it was akin to giving McLaren the England job back after his stint at Twente. Optimistic as ever
