I know the guy who plays David Archer somewhat (Tim Bentinck, although I'm more of a fan of what he did with from The Thick of It/Armando Iannucci shows) who's been doing it for years and years. He's in a sketch show I'm compiling at the mo as a regular character; first one I did with him was last year putting on an accent that makes him unrecognisable: [Link] top guy, awesome voice actor.

'fraid I am a huge fan going back to late 80s. That said, there are a number of characters I would like to be on the end of an Emmerdale type plane crash or similar. Pip Archer, Kate Aldridge (Madikane) (actually the plane crash would be too quick for her - 1,000 cuts better), Helen Archer and many others. Want Matt Crawford back!!

Kate Aldridge is one of my favourite characters! Obviously she's contemptible, but she's so funny! Don't mind Hellin. As for Titchenor... best character ever!

I listen to Radio 4 quite often but I run to the radio and turn it off or over as soon as I hear the bloody Archers music. Can't stand it.

My kids Joe, Will and Edie (would've been Eddie if she was a boy) are inadvertently named after the Grundys. Favourite moment. When Joe Grundy murdered his ferrets rather than have them cooped up in a tower block. Edited by nickgusset (29 Apr 2015 3.48pm)
