*Sad Bender Alert* JIMMENZ in GREAT BRITAIN we have this thing called humour and self mocking I suspect that you have never even listened to the Archers but you really should give it a try. But I do admit to being a bit sad listening to the Archers. but I just cant quit.To quote Don Corleone just when I thought I was out they pulled me back in again.I suspect you would now like a rousing USA.USA,USA I think that quote is actually by Al Pacino in Donnie Brasco rather than Corleone. I have not seen Donnie Brasco but I did see godfather 3 last week and it was definitely mentioned it also gets said a lot.In the back of Satrioles meat store by Tony Sopranoes crew

My kids Joe, Will and Edie (would've been Eddie if she was a boy) are inadvertently named after the Grundys. Favourite moment. When Joe Grundy murdered his ferrets rather than have them cooped up in a tower block. Edited by nickgusset (29 Apr 2015 3.48pm) I had forgotten about Joe and the ferrets ,don't suppose you remember Sid and Jolene in the shower

I remember them doing a parody of it in the Sopranos. Check out Donnie Brasco if you get a chance, very good film, up there with the Godfather and Goodfellahs.

I loath The Archers, but Mrs H is addicted. She has the radio set to turn on,tune in to Radio 4 - all at five past seven. The very same time as I butcher the theme tune with my out of tune singing. In case she had an oversight, I always remind her just how amateur the programme is.
