What annoys me most about this post and so many posts I've seen on numerous social networks is the assumption that the British public have been duped into voting Tory.

Are the left so arrogant that they assume anyone who doesn't see the world as they see it must be so thick that they don't know what they're voting for?

I know, their fury knows no bounds, they cannot understand how us morons got it so wrong. We have forced them to take to the streets, stamping their little feet and daubing 'Tory scum' on war memorials and chanting 'OUT! OUT! OUT!', it is all our fault because we were so stupid.

Yes. Most people don't constantly bang on about their political leanings and I'm sick of hearing on the radio, reading on social media and watching on TV whilst the left demonstrate and bitch and whinge, because they dont agree with the decision that the country took. I bet they wouldnt be bitching about proportional representation if Labour had won with a narrow majority.

Apparently there's some sort of protest in the form of a 'switch off' which involves not using any electricity or gas to hit big business where it hurts, in the pocket. Obviously the instigator had such little faith in their idea that they felt the need to emphasise that this should not replace traditional placard waving.

I don't really know where to start with this, other than to say that it is great for the environment and that if you're participating on such a specious basis, perhaps you should also continue to save energy and money in this way if the Tories have rendered you so skint.

George Osborne is rushing through a fire sale of RBS at a massive £13bn loss to taxpayers.

Just as he's pushing through £12bn of welfare cuts which will hit the poorest and most vulnerable in society, Osborne wants to sell the taxpayer-owned bank back to his friends in the City at knockdown prices, losing taxpayers at least an eyewatering £13bn.

Do you have any corroboration on that? If true, gut feel is "no", but I haven't heard anything about it yet.

Happy for RBS to lose the gilt edged guarantee, but if managed correctly this could have been a profit like the NY Fed has made with AIG (as at 12/2012 - $22bn).... but then they have Obama not the Tories.

As a rule I'd generally say that all of the major political parties were guilty of trying to dupe the population into voting for them at the last election - with most utilizing 'fear of x' (Labour with UKIP, Conservatives with the Scottish Nationals) rather than actually campaigning on manifestos and policy.

Its the sham that has become democracy in the UK that politics has become about 'appealing to the people and popularity' rather than actual ideas and policy.

The public gets what it asked for, another five years of spin, self interest, the politics of envy, popularism, bulls**t and deciet, just like it got under every government during my life time.

I bet the following year it makes great profits.

Pretty sure most people are giggling along with the socialist propoganda without understanding what it's specifically referring to:

Definitely a few RM shares in your pension pot though and will be a few more after this sale.
