No sympathy for these girls, knew what they was getting themselves into. Two less scum in our country, they should be refused entry to the UK!

Given they are 17, I very much doubt they really had much of an idea, and it seems likely that they've probably come to their senses having found themselves caught up in something very terrible.

That's not to say that they aren't criminal or that their actions on return need to be investigated, but that they won't be the first teenagers in history to have made a very stupid mistake. They probably need to pay for that mistake, but in doing so we should not pass down arbitrary moral judgments like some kind of Fundamentalist Psuedo-Islamic Death Cult. Especially against our own nations children.

Or the fact that their terrorist husbands have been killed in 'battle' and they've realised that they're going to be passed around.

F*ck them, with 28 GCSEs between them these aren't stupid little girls, these are intelligent girls who have realised war, rape & beheadings ain't all it's cracked up to be.

GCSEs don't make you intelligent, teenagers are by their nature stupid, given to stupid romantic ideas, righteous and in rebellion against their parents.

Silly little girls, definitely, but hardly evil incarnate that they've been made out it be. I wouldn't go so far as to say they shouldn't get away with what they've done either.

Clever, maybe, intelligent, well their teenagers, they're stupid hormone machines but wise, never.

If ISIS want to find these girls then they will find them. If they do escape then this ought to be treated with a great deal of suspicion.
By the way, are these the girls whose parents blamed our security forces for allowing them out of the country?

BRITISH terror twins Zahra and Salma Halane were last night on the run from IS and trying to escape from Syria.

The 17-year-olds — whose terrorist husbands were killed in December — told dad Ibrahim, 52, that “everything has changed”.

They were thought to be attempting to flee with a third jihadi bride. Their mum Khadra Jama, 45, said: “I pray they do, God willing.”

The girls, with 28 GCSEs between them, left Chorlton, Manchester, in June.

They kept in contact with their family, who pleaded with them to return from Manbij and Al-Bab in the north of Syria.

A source close to the family said: “The girls say they are not happy there anymore. Their dad said he is expecting good news very soon.

“He understands police will want to speak to them, but they have not been fighting.”

Reports that IS were hunting three brides were first thought to involve schoolpals from Bethnal Green, East London.

— IS second-in-command Abdel Rahman Mustafa al-Qaduli was last night reported to have has been killed in an air strike on a mosque in Tal Afar, northern Iraq.

...Says the Sun

On the assumption of truth, I feel it appropriate they go f*** themselves

I'd imagine ISIS are too savvy for it, but if ever they need to have one of their beheading videos, it would be a significant deterrent to any more impressionable British teenagers wanting to offer themselves.

Are you for real? They're 17 year old girls for gods sake. Just kids!

I'm for real, I joined the army at 16, yes 16, I knew just exactly what I was doing. The conflict in Aden was in full swing at the time, I could have been in that a year later at 17. Didn't get posted out there at that time but I could have been it was the luck of the draw., if I was young enough to sign up for 6 years at the age of 16 ............it was their choice no sympathy from me.

I don't see what that has to do with anything.

Sometimes some people get so caught up in the propaganda machine they don't realise the life they are giving up.

I know for a fact I made many stupid decisions in my late teens that I regret and there also some decisions I made that I don't regret. Doesn't make me perfect and doesn't mean I can use myself a moral yardstick either.

They're kids, that's all there is too it.

Don't make me perfect either nor am I using myself as a moral yardstick. If ya can't stand the heat stay out of the kitchen, for example find out first what you might have to put yourself through before you take the plunge. I was a kid too, that's all there was to it, hard life ain't it.

Did you leave the army, or do the full service?

They've been saying that for well over a decade now. There will be incidents no doubt but nothing, I think, in comparison to the IRA back in the 70's and 80's who were, truth be told, a bloody hard and clever enemy. More so than these religious nutcases could ever be on our soil.

Are you suggesting that our terrorists of a certain background are less intelligent than IRA terrorists? Surely that is some sort of 'phobic' statement.

You do love a bit of rabble-rousing. Still, it's Friday night. Enjoy it.
