I see Duetsche Bank have threatened move to Germany if we do decide to leave the EU on the back of HSBC mulling over the same thing for different reasons. Whose next? Citigroup? JP Morgan? Morgan Stanley. A lot of these banks base their EMEA HQ's in London. How many will upsticks if we leave the EU? Wonder if it has any effect on Boris' little Chinatown development over at Royal Albert Dock. Interesting times ahead. Edited by JL85 (20 May 2015 11.40am)

The 'Usual Suspects' seem quiet on this forum.... like the wind has been taken out of their sails? At least Cameron didn't opt for a high 5 celebration love in with his supporters and "Things can only get better" belting out, then a party at No. 10 with One Direction, McBusted and Olly Murs.
Guess we have to be careful what we say these days, since we don't have the Lib Dems about to veto any snooping laws.
Yeah cos it would never have happened under a tory majority 5 yrs ago would it? neither the noncing cons of the 80's ...... ohh hang on.

The referendum on AV was essentially a rigged election (because no one actually had said that they wanted AV ever - The demand was for proportional representation). They went with the AV because they knew PR would actually get a yes (of course the Lib Dems failed to do 'their duty' on their manifesto and force an election over the issue). Still, when it comes to the EU, I think enough of the Tory party are anti-EU that going down a similar route might not be possible. Already though its looking shakey on the Human Rights act, as some more liberal conservatives have highlighted concerns with its capacity to be classed as rights.

I'm always surprised that most anti EU people don't know the first thing about the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership. That amounts to a secretive corporate coup.
