I have to ask, why is there this obsession with Van Dyke? Apart from the fact that members of the press claimed he was linked with us, that is.

Really hope Williams comes. Perhaps if he voiced his intentions to leave Swansea, they'd take a lower transfer fee? But probably not going to happen bearing in mind his relationship with the club. Edited by Fazil Bawlty (28 Jul 2015 8.02pm)
Personally I think Williams will stay, in which case Colocini might be our best option
It's Virgil van Dijk not Van Dyke and he is not good enough for the Premier, SPL is about his level.

I'll bet it is, dodgy accent and all. People seem only to keep bringing up van Dijk because he was once linked to us.

Don't need him. We have Dann, Hangers, Delaney and Kelly. Whilst I don't think we'll get him.. Williams is a better CB than 3 of the players mentioned above, it'd be nonsense to say 'we don't need him' if he were available. Hangeland may have been on par with AW a few years back but not now.
