Is tropical, torrential and record breaking rain predicted for the next four days in Nottingham....?

Anyone.... Anyone....?

POMICIDE!!!

I've not enjoyed myself as much since 1981 when Botham and Willis destroyed the Aussie batting and bowling.

On a separate note... I thought Mitchell Johnson did himself a big favour with English fans, taking the banter and giving loads of young kids his autograph during breaks in play. He went right up in my estimation!

Will get myself settled in for another day's play.

What are we hoping for today. Bat long and set them 400 or there abouts giving us enough time to take 10 wickets and a bit of wiggle room if we need to knock off a small total to win?

I have to agree - the way he's enjoyed playing the pantomime villain has impressed me - he's not been cocky (albeit the result looks like making that difficult) he's been aggressive as ever, but conducted himself very well. Hats off to you, sir (though you still bowl to the left, and bowl to the riiiiiiight)

It's doubtful if we will get a 400 lead.

Yep, he has taken it all with dignity and humour.

The crowd have reciprocated too, clapping when he responds to them or signs something etc

Optimistic as ever

I don't do cricket much (but do like to see Aussies getting beaten)butJoe Root yesterday - I haven't seen hitting with such precision since Ulrika Johnsson was late getting Stan Collymores tea on the table....amazing

It looks as though England will have to bat in the second innings.

After the first innings their best batsmen are yet to come in, npn.

Extras are still doing their bit too.
