Is anyone getting involved in this tomorrow? My local in swanscombe has a massive party all day long, with BBQ, live music, raffle etc. Loads of us dress up in military uniforms and raise money for the "help for heroes" charity. If anyone is in the area, pop in and say high (and buy some raffle tickets ). " I hate those f@cking northern monkeys " The late Lenny Mclean.

I saw this in the papers the other day. The tourist should thank his lucky stars the soldier showed such great restraint. The way the world is at present it shows how well trained the soldier is that he didn't do something far worse. They are there to defend the Queen and the residence. If a tourist is being a nuisance it is reasonable for a guardsman to do what he did there. If that doesn't work he's allowed to detain the fool using force if need be. I think these days it is even more problematic because of things such as the murder of Lee Rigby. For all the soldier could have known the tourist may have been a terrorist and could have been carrying a knife. I think these days it is even more problematic because of things such as the murder of Lee Rigby. For all the soldier could have known the tourist may have been a terrorist and could have been carrying a knife.
