Not an opinion on Osvaldo (about whom I don't really know enough to pass judgment) but the likelihood is that the only way we're going to attract a world class striker is finding one who in some way or another is damaged goods. If they weren't, they'd be signing for a bigger club than Palace. Whether or not Osvaldo is worth the risk I don't know. But I can see why we're tempted to take the gamble. My view is that we have a very strong dressing room and I cannot imagine our current squad would allow Osvaldo to poison it. In fact, under the wing of the likes of Jedi and Ledley he might even flourish. If Osvaldo is seriously good (again, I don't know, but if he is top class), going for it makes sense.

The thing is this rumour was actually started online by palace fans. There is no suggestion Pardew is interested. I hate transfer windows but this one is a joke. I was done when we were linked to Cassilas. Basically journos are taking the p*ss. Their editors must be high on crack because some of the stories are literally laughable. Ashley Williams being one for instance.

Don't care if this has legs or not, Osvaldo is not the sort we need to be adding to the mix. Ability is irrelevant if he's going to destroy the team spirit and camaraderie of the group.

failed glory players with behavioural problems need not apply. send him to QPR , he can make a fool of himself at the Valley and the Amex...........and he can have a regular fight with Balotelli and Joey Barton....and be on the back page of the papers taking drugs with Kate Moss. True but he's too much of a nice guy. You get the impression if you caught him with a flailing arm he's apologise for his face getting in the way
