On the plus side, I'm going to be quite a bit better off.

Tax breaks for coke dealers? Must have missed that bit.....

Wife beating may be socially acceptable in Sheffield, but it is a different matter in Cheltenham

Surely you will be giving it to those affected by benefit cuts - like Anjan Choundhary?

The Budget keeps us moving from a low wage, high tax, high welfare economy to a higher wage, lower tax and lower welfare society. It delivers security for working people and delivers on the promises on which the 'Conservatives' were elected. Well done 'Mr Osborne' !
I commend this budget to HOL !!!!!

Be better if they timed the increase in living wage with the tax credit cuts rather than a 4 year gap. People will suffer as a result.

Including your pupils if you are on HOL during the working day

It seems that, according to the IFS and the Resolution Foundation, many poorer families will be a fair bit worse off and in some cases a lot worse off [Link]

Surprised no one has commented so far. I am still catching up on the detail but it looks like a pretty decent budget.

Is that because Osborne played a blinder

or we are all still waiting for Cabaye?

What's to comment on when they are all basically the same?
