I am genuinely amazed that so many would be against him signing. The guy in my opinion is utter class, he's one player who always gets my attention every time I watch him play. He can do everything Delany can and more and can actually pass! He’s even an established Argentine international for goodness sake!

Coloccini and Dann at the back would be one of the best central defensive pairings in the prem and the best that we have seen at Selhurst since Cannon and Gilbert!

Of the centre backs we've been linked with I'd prefer Williams personally.

One's also disastrously out of form, was a defensive liability for much of last season and regularly flirts with a move back to his native country. For me, a 33 year old Coloccini is not what Palace need. He's too risky.

Abit like delaney was when we picked him up for nothing, only damo was thinking of retiring altogether.

You can't just say that we should go and buy underperforming players because we've improved them in the past. You're essentially saying any out of form player past their best will immediately transform and reach the pinnacle of their footballing ability when they pull on a red and blue shirt. Ludicrous. To progress we need to bring in players who are performing consistently and aren't a couple years from retirement. We need to improve what we already have, especially in a position that's in quite bad need of reinforcement.

Should we throw money at this player? No, not me.

Didn't someone do that last season and hit him below the eye?
Or was that another one of the barcode mugs?

If we're not going for the Dann/Kelly partnership we should be looking long term partner for Dann, which would ideally be someone sub-30.

"Ajax's £5m-rated Holland centre-back Joel Veltman, 23, is in the Magpies' sights."

If NUFC are seriously looking at him and there's a chance they could get him, then shouldn't we too?
