I see norwich are interested. In all fairness can't say I would be to bothered about him at palace. As people say he won't do any better than Murray. I think what we have is enough and let's see come January and if needs be it can be looked at. Just feel Murray needs a chance to show us what he can do.

If it was just the 4m, then yes, but I expect he's looking for 2-4 years on a 50k contract, or an amazing pay day deal for a single season.

Decent player! Just because he's been stuck in the reserves at Liverpool doesn't stop him being a good player. Definitely worth a punt.

No. If he was 27, maybe, but Murray has proved he can score goals in the Premier League. Why would we bring in someone to sit on the bench. We're not in Europe. I think we have a decent and solid squad to not be in a relegation battle, but to also fight for top 10.

A waste of money given we have FFS.

£4m is way too much for a 34 year old. 1 season out of him at most, then we'll be looking to progress and we'd still have him on our books as he won't accept a one year deal. Would take him on loan though.

No one would talk about spending £4m on a 'punt' if it was their money. It isn't my money either, but no thanks.

We don't need Lambert. He might do a Sheringham and play for another 5-6 years but somehow I doubt it. His best is behind him and we've already got a better, younger version in Murray. Money isn't tight but there's no need to spend just for the sake of it. Edited by Red-Blue-Yellow (22 Jul 2015 12.36pm)

If it's a mentor we want for Bamford, you could not ask for a better one than Murray. The one thing he clearly still has in his locker - post-cruciate - is centre forward nous. The way he played against Man City last season (or away at Sunderland and West Ham) showed just what a bright footballer he is.
