In fairness, when I look at Hulk Hogan, I imagine that some racist statements, made on a court recording, is the least likely thing to make the news about him. schizophrenic steroid driven cannibal holocaust sex tape, seems the more likely headline.

Is Hogan a racist.....It appears that he is....At least in terms of black people he doesn't like if you go by his own words. Is Hogan evil.....Well, he seems quite chilled out by his daughter being banged by a black man for a proper racist.....He's more bothered by how rich the one doing his daughter is. Mohammad Ali made loads of racist comments....Never did him much harm.

He should be sacked.....But taking him out of the hall of fame just doesn't make any sense. Hogan is WWE history.....You can't airbrush that out without looking ridiculous. The omission won't last.

Bill Cosby can't even be questioned over allegedly raping or sexually assualting women he'd drugged under the statute of limitations, but Hogan can be wiped from the WWE when an 8 year old private recording is discovered. Because Hogan is employed by the WWE...or was. His blunder cost them circa millon Anyway, his twitter feed right now is hilarious. He will literally retweet anything
Their decision to not sell his merchandise is what has cost them financially. I suspect that without a contract, merchandise and image rights would need to be renegotiated. I don't think so. I'm pretty sure WWE own the merchandise and image rights for Hulk Hogan after reacquiring them from Marvel.

Their decision to not sell his merchandise is what has cost them financially. That was meant to say say circa million, but that was form their drop in shares price immediately following the news. He's employed as an ambassador for their brand and a host on their latest reality TV show, he had to go really. Selling his merchandise shows they are still endorsing him and they'd get a lot more grief for continuing to make money off his name, despite giving him the elbow
I agree that they couldn't let him carry on as an ambassador but removing all reference to him (he's not an average WWF/WWE superstar) is over the top IMO.

I know, even though he has admitted in court documents relating to other cases, administering sedatives to two women, but because those were settled out of court they cannot be used as evidence. A Michael Jackson defense.

My opinion as a black man...he's said some naughty things, but the reaction has been a bit OTT. Some of the comments made aren't that more extreme than things you could hear down a pub, IMO it's a generation thing. I don't think he's a racist either, just been caught making hateful, racist comments. I met him earlier this year and he was a class act. Won't be throwing his merchandise out any time soon either. The WWE Hall of Fame is a joke anyway, if they are going to remove him, they have to follow suit with others too: Ultimate Warrior (homophobe), Mike Tyson (rapist), Jimmy Snuka (murderer), Sunny (pornstar), Stone Cold (wife-beater), Razor Ramon (murderer) + all the drug abusers too!

This world would be a better place with more people with your attitude in it. So many people go over the top.....People are different and while we can say things how we see them a little tolerance for difference certainly helps.
