Think Chester was the first Man Utd player to be loaned to Peterborough when Darren Ferguson was their manager and his dad was manager at Old Trafford.

I think we need another winger, as we are clearly short if either Zaha or Bolasie are out. Wouldn't be averse to a new centre back but not exactly essential, Delaney Hangeland and Kelly are all acceptable even if they aren't outstanding players.

The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money.

Bakary Sako would have been a good buy on a 'Free' but I understand he is off to WBA.

And Hull might be persuaded to part with Elmohamady who can play on right-wing, wing-back and full-back. Covers alot of ground and delivers a good cross.

Well I am gonna get shouted at here, but I think we need cover for the Ward.

Don't think he had the best of seasons last term, and I know it was his first game pre-season,thought he looked poor on Sunday.

always a Norwood boy, where ever I live.

I for one will not be shouting at you from the rafters.

I think I will need a tin helmet on by saying that I'm not saying he is a poor player by any stretch of the imagination but I don't hold Ward in the same esteem as many on here. We all have our opinions !

You can count in one hand the amount of games ward has played badly. Very consistent right back to upgrade on him would cost atleast £10million defiantly not a priority at all.

Defensively Ward's 2014/15 season wasn't as good as his 2013/14 season but he's better at going forward now. We have cover in Mariappa and Kelly. I have a feeling Ward will settle in this season possibly improving by being part of a consistent back 4. If there comes a time when he is the weakest link, we should be looking to get someone in better, but I don't see that happening myself for a couple of years.

I'd be surprised the two more were anything other than a centre back and a striker. Pretty clear we need both but only time will tell whether we get them.

Is it though? I don't think we need a striker at all. This really comes down to how much you rate signing Bamford on a season-long loan.

I'm guessing your view that we need another striker means you don't rate Bamford.

Mourinho is no idiot - I can't believe he would allow Bamford to come on loan to us unless Pards had given some indication he'd see a reasonable amount of game time. Us going out and spending loads on another striker seems contrary to that.

Not that I don't rate Bamford, I haven't seen enough of him. One thing I do know is he is unproven in the Premier League. For me, including Chamakh, we have four strikers and you can throw a hat over them all. None stand out as a must pick player and I'm concerned that none of them will get over 10 goals. To be a top half side you need someone who scores goals, often out of a half chance or even less. It won't be terrible if we don't get a striker but it will be harder to finisher higher than last year.

Muzz and Gayle will both score over 10 goals a season if played regularly. No doubt.

I can imagine some thinking that Parish has been talking about signing players of "Top 10 quality" and apart from Cabaye, the only purchases have been McCarthy and Bamford BOTH of whom have either not played at PL level or indeed haven't proved themselves at such a level.

Supporters have talked about the likes of Krul, Ba, Austin etc but this appears to have abated.

If some of the targets don't sign I can imagine supporters criticising Parish for "Lack of ambition " etc etc etc.

But of course there is still time to go before the start of the season and the end of the 'Transfer Window' - Patience !

you are an absolute fail of a palace fan apart from cabaye!! that single handedly is a summer well spent... be thankful you have a club and just let the board and gaffer do their thing...

I'm impressed with your battery. Mine wouldn't stay on 100% long enough to allow me to take a screenshot.

Why would anyone chose to be a Seagull? The Eagle is a far superior creature.

The Seagull lives under it's damp pier meekly looking out, blinded by the sheer quality of the Eagle's palace.
