I remember team of the 80s, 2 administrations, last day premier league relegations. Survival first, anything else is a bonus. I remember Portsmouth competing i.e offering silly wages, when they had no infrastructure behind it and look at them now.

Or Pardew for that matter. Or Caulker. The cynic would say he choose QPR for the money, he claims it was to learn off of Ferdinand. Neither though has anything to do with his perceived size or status of the clubs in question. Sized doesn't (always) matter. Back on the subject of Vlaar; I still think we need to be looking at someone 28 or younger. Given his injuries is he much of an upgrade on Hangeland and Delaney?

Or Pardew for that matter. Or Caulker. The cynic would say he choose QPR for the money, he claims it was to learn off of Ferdinand. Neither though has anything to do with his perceived size or status of the clubs in question. Sized doesn't (always) matter.

Back on the subject of Vlaar; I still think we need to be looking at someone 28 or younger. Given his injuries is he much of an upgrade on Hangeland and Delaney?
