I like True Detective second series, I think I'm the only person who does.

I think it's ace. Not quite as good as the first, but still gripping stuff.

I thought 'Wolf Hall' was very good.

Someone recommended 'Rome' - I think it's utter tripe.

Also, did someone mention 'Lost'? Biggest load of junk ever made.

Lost is the reason I wait for a TV series to come to an end before I start watching it. I didn't start watching Breaking Bad until all 5 series had been aired just in case "it was all a dream". I hate myself for sticking with Lost. It's very telling that there haven't ever really been any serious attempts at re-running it all. I think it's available as a box-set on Sky, but even Sky seem to be going "well, it's there if you REALLY don't care how sh*t the ending was".

I watched the whole series again recently. By fvck it was bad - really bad - in a so bad it's good kinda way. The mum's awful acting was fantastically cringeworthy. Julie Prescott was/is still hot though.

Funny how your memory plays tricks. I always remember it as being a gripping drama, I guess a lot of the old series being mentioned aren't quite as good as we thought

Sorry to say this but a few years ago I invested in the Boys from the Blackstuff box set and it's pretty much unwatchable.

Nooooooooooo

Maybe why it hasn't even turned up on Dave

I seem to remember the Graeme Souness / Sammy Lee scene being pretty funny.

The Yossers Story episode is great to be fair - it stands out as a bit of a jewel. The rest - despite being a great idea with some good characters is just really poorly written. Just hasn't held up well.

Yossers story is on Youtube - go for that but not the box set.
