My main players I'd like us to at least look at would be the following players:

Djilobodji, Sangare, Rudiger, Matip, Rugani, Koulibaly, Van Beek, Kongolo.

Out of these only Djilobodji, Matip, and Koulibaly would need to be in the 25.

Also count into the fact that other than papa we don't have any other Senegal player. I think you only need to look through newcastle's squad to see what type of players AP likes. Most national players in their squad is French and Senegal. This is why I wouldn't be suprised if we was looking at any from those countries. On this player, at 25 and 6 foot 3 this would be the right sort of centre back we would want. Someone quick enough, strong, good at headers, and tall.

I'm surprised no one has suggested Joleon Lescott. Apparently Villa have put a bid in which WBA will no doubt reject, but where there's smoke there's usually fire so they must have some reason for thinking he's signable. I think Lescott would be a pretty good addition; experienced, dependable, reliable and a good stopgap while Kelly or Innis developed as the long-term solution. Certainly capable to giving us two solid years.

Sydenham by birth. Selhurst by the Grace of God.

I think Grant Hanley would be a good shout at centre half.

He played with Scott Dann at Blackburn so there would be no need for them to work on a partnership as they know how each other plays already.

Isn't this the new line up for the Trumpton fire station ?

what about Dan Burn of Fulham 6ft 7 tall quite fast obviously a bit raw and inexperienced - had Murray in his pocket all afternoon - would not cost the earth - could be a fantastic buy as this boy will make it to become an established premier league player

It was mainly Newcastle's scouting knowledge of the plethora of tax-free talent in France that led to Pards signing so many from Ligue 1. True, he still has that knowledge and experience of that market, but he's not the French-philiac everyone thinks he is.
