I personally doubt it. All transfers are negotiated with SP, Pards has told us so, so it's not solely his decision, thankfully. Barton is too old now and his reputation isn't worth sh!t and I can't see the board wanting a piece of him. As someone else said: jog on Joey!

The most impressive thing Barton's achieved in his career is convincing people he's anything more than a Championship midfielder.

The prison service that you, I and every other f***er pays for on a monthly basis ( btw cheers for paying my wages) is there to try and rehabilitate people...obviously you will get the degenerate f***s who spend heir whole life in & out but there are people who actually better themselves from the courses & experience of being inside... Barton hadn't been back to prison & as far as I am aware doesn't drink like he used to either...it seems he has actually turned his life around and not gone back to his old ways. Yes in the past he has been a violent mofo, but away from the field he has behaved himself and not been in trouble again, has also has kids which probably calmed him down. So like I said take the citeh game v qpr..ask any footballer from any level and they would have probably all done the same thing given the circumstances & taken an opposition player with them..I sure as dammit would have done had my team needed help. Care do give me a reasoned response to my post rather than try & patronise me?

Braunston - your response is both measured and classy - but just cannot agree with you that JLedley out and JBarton in would be a good call in whatever circumstances really. Barton's best days are gone, i.m.o., and he is probably not a team player. Ledley is a very good team player, squad man and personality. Maybe not the deal to go in to bat on?
