The Royal College of Nursing's Chief Executive says: "The immigration rules for health care workers will cause chaos for the NHS and other care services. At a time when demand is increasing, the UK is perversely making it harder to employ staff from overseas. The NHS has spent millions hiring nurses from overseas in order to provide safe staffing levels. These rules will mean that money has just been thrown down the drain." I don't necessarily agree with you on this old chap.

I would like to see a health tourism ended. It's an absolute bloody disgrace that people can come here having never paid a penny into the system and get treated. F**k them off I say. This kind of behaviour is akin to steeling. The NHS is a great thing, but it must not be abused by sh*tbags who seem to have this air of entitlement about them. How many times do we hear about some dopey bird who believes it's 'her right' to have her t1ts enlarged courtesy of the taxpayer??

Edited by fed up eagle (08 May 2016 12.44pm) Another £5m is spent on homeopathy, which is arguably a bigger waste of money. I won't get in to who contributes and takes what as it's often disputed and doctors are obliged to treat everyone. Then there's they argument that those killing themselves smoking have more than made up for it with the tax. Would like to see comprehensive figures.

I don't believe it is the peoples fault who come here for free treatment. more the fault of the people who allow it to happen.

Would like to see comprehensive figures. ..removing ones ability to oxygenate is eventually going to slowly reduce their output in work and at home, dying early certainly reduces the costs you amount with treating them, but then you do lose their income from tax, you'd be amazed at the amount of time that is taken up with Doctors and especially nurses with their care, strokes cause huge costs and nearly all smokers will end up with one, due to being unable to move about with damaged arteries, not nice but it is extremely addictive and pleasurable, I think the lowering output in work has a bigger effect than any research could discover.
