It was my privilege to meet a real Manchester United supporter - Palace away matches can mean outings for me (today was Bluewater) - today. He told me that he was pleased that they lost, as this could mean that they soon have a new manager. While the poor bloke can probably not afford to support Man U (as many plastics can) he demonstrated a care for the team he supports (he was wearing the shirt.
