Once worked for an electronics shop in Tottenham Court Road ... Run by a Turk, All the other staff were Turks ... I was the ONLY mom-turkish staff there ... Interview said 9.30-5.30 5 days a week, reality was 9.30 - 6.30 six days a week. Dropped a neon sign and cut my wrist ... Wasn't allowed to go to hospital until after 6.30 ... I had 4 stitches when I did go. Pay was always cash in hand. Witnessed a fight between the owner and a customer then had to lie to the police. Always had to buy whiskey for the manager (to keep him warm) ... Walked in on him masturbating in stock room (don't think he saw me)

Yes I did. He appointed me assistant manager and he then set up a separate accounting system which I was not told about. This was done so that I would not know the true state of the business as well as the shady business he personally was involved in. When he went on holiday he engaged a temporary employee to collect all the mail and send it on to him. While on his holiday a catholic priest came in and said our bossman had promised to give him a special deal so I gave it to him but when the boss came back he said he had never arranged any such a deal. Now I know catholic priests do not lie!. Again, while he was on holiday ,several people asked me why I was such a useless c**t at my work according to my bossman. When he came back I told him to put his money where his mouth was and he gave me three months notice only because he could not find anybody stupid enough to take my job. Believe me there are very evil people in business but I reckon this guy was The Devil dressed up in an expensive suit!.

I immediately turned round and left him to it ... He wasn't a nice person and a few days later he was telling me off over something (can't remember what) and went up stairs (the office was in the basement) I flicked him a two fingered salute ... He turned at that exact moment and saw me ... Got "let go" that evening.

The office was in a basement which was damp ... I was forever getting ill as a result ... I once passed out in the office and came to, 2 hours later ... No-one knew where I was.
The toilet was on the 3rd floor and stock room (where the w*** took place) was on the 2nd floor ... The toilet flooded once and I was in the stockroom when it all came through the ceiling ... Not pleasant ... Wasn't allowed to go home but told to stay out of sight.

I used to work in a factory when i was around 23 or 24.

my employer who was a dick called me a f**king black Bar**ard while we were standing at the top of the stairs.

If he put a hand on me then both of us would've gone flying down the stairs.

He wore a pacemaker so glad we did'nt go flying down the stairs as he may of had a heart attack and died and i might of gone to prison.

What a scum bag!! You should have thrown him down the stairs Lee.

Worked for a Muslim Builder, Was an alcoholic often on site off his brains, He used to throw bricks and timber around to get everyone working harder, was an absolute nightmare to work for, We used to get paid cash in hand and some weeks he would forget to go to the bank on the Friday and uproar would ensue. During Ramadam he would not work as he could not function without booze. Not sure why he bothered with Ramadam as he was drunk everyday so broke the Muslim laws anyway. It all came to a head one day when he sacked Two Geordies for something minor and refused to pay them, They wrecked the four storey town house we were renovating to a worse condition to when we started, Smashed every window, ripped down walls, cut cables and pipes, All the bathrooms were smashed to bits. The builder had to walk away from the job and never paid any of us and vanished.

It's Ramadan.

If you're unsure, try remembering a squaddies favourite rainy day activity.
