How do you know who and what is right or left wing?

Well that's pretty bloody easy. Because just about every right winger here proudly identifies himself as a right winger and just about every left winger here proudly identifies himself as a left winger. It's thus not too complicated. As for knowing what the difference between the wings represent, pretty much any history or political science text book should give you a more elegant answer than me -- but it's pretty well established.

You are talking a load of rubbish, what right or left wingers have got to do with it I don't know.

Nor do I. And I agree with your point. Nonetheless, if you bother to read the many pages in this thread (hard going, I admit) you'll note that those who think Muslims, racists, people from Peckham and other minorities have something "to do with it" all happen to be right wingers.

Perhaps there should be a thread whereby people could identify which particular 'wing' they happen to be. It'd make life an awful lot easier.

I had no idea your knowledge of 70's popular music was so profound. I see you in a new light, not as a mere sex object as has been the case hitherto.

Wife beating may be socially acceptable in Sheffield, but it is a different matter in Cheltenham

How pathetic........ if anything this man should have received better treatment as a serving officer of our armed forces, not hidden away for fear of offending other "cultures".

This sort of stuff makes my blood boil.........

I expect he irritated his fellow patients by humming the theme from the Dambusters - and they didn't understand his banter.

But please tell, what the f*** is that post all about.

I don't really understand. I re-read the post and it seems pretty straightforward to me. What don't you get?

Home truths.

Please enlighten me Comrade gusset...Home truths?

I still do not understand why this issue is a right wing or left wing.
The crux of the matter is a serving airman was asked to sit where he could not be seen,so as to not "offend" other cultures.
What kind of society do we live in where we let this happen.
And people want to take thousands more of these "cultures"

What a load of bollocks.

The issue isn't left wing or right wing. It's simply that responses to it have divided along right- and left-wing lines. That makes the reaction categoisable by political belief, if not the underlying facts themselves.

I think it was the Muslim rapist comment early in the thread that caused the divide. Everyone has said it's a crying shame that a squaddie couldn't sit in A&E.

But the responses should all be the same,no matter what lying piece of crap political party you follow.
I don't understand why f***ing right wing economists even enter the debate.
