I think these things are a delicate balance and we need to dissuade people of all creeds from flying off in various unhelpful directions. It's both important to highlight the feral nature of comments like Tom's and also to say that if people are offended by the uniform that is their problem and we are not obliged to accommodate them. If they too show feral tendencies they should be rewarded with a free overnight stay in a cell instead of a hospital.
