This is the part I hate about them, probably more than anything else.

Pathetic. But then all Socialists oppose gentrification, not just anarchists. The same ones who move to these trendy areas, paying 15 quid to get in to a previously working class establishment such as a snooker hall, and wonder why it drives demand for a Foxtons and Waitrose

I don't. Reading was a f**king s**thole in the 70s and 80s, the gentrification of the 90s turned it around if you ask me. I'd like to see more done to turn s**ty estates and run down areas into nicer places to live, ideally driven by the local community, Council and business rather than corporate entities.

The only problem of gentrification is that it raises already ridiculous property prices, and squeezes people out. I'm not even sure what a 'traditional working class establishment' actually is anymore. The trade union club?

That said, who the f**k is going to Cereal bars? Sometimes I think I woke up and the world dropped acid while I was asleep.

You're different in having a grasp of reality.

Earning good money is considered acceptable only if it's from the state or if you spend it on nothing. A sensible campaign to expose hipsters would've involved inviting the local homeless to eat free cereal outside.

The Marxists believe that there will be no need for money in the communist utopia that is to come about.

And the local pub shouldn't sell premium brands of beer, wine or spirits?

The 2 largest brewing companies are merging apparently. So most of the piss served in pubs will come from the same company...

Are you seriously comparing a pub selling oooh let say a Remy Martin as well as a bog standard to someone opening a shop with the aim of selling a bowl of cereal for £2-3 more than the retail price of a box to the bearded, unicycle riding achingly hip who have moved in to an East End s*** hole so they can play at faux poverty???

Its f*cking cereal - its not a thing of beauty....

Whilst I agree with you, the people who own the cereal bar shouldn't be punished for setting up a business that people enjoy using. If they didn't they'd go out of business.

The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money.

That's exactly what I'm saying - if people want to pay premium prices for a premium product, they should be able to without the providers being called scum.

I don't believe I would like the type of people that would go to a cereal bar and think it's ok. A bit like Costa Coffee w@nkers. Corporate consuming idiots who don't mind being ripped off and help drag society down.
