Quote Joe Bloggs at 18 Nov 2015 9.07pm

Personally I would be sorry to see the Beeb become a commercial broadcaster but they need to up their game.

Cooking Programmes and how to make pottery should not be on a mainstream channel.

Get rid of the crap untalented non celebrity t***s.

Did someone mention James Corden Keith Lemon is another one (make your own list ) et f*cking al.

My wife used to watch strictly but that is overloaded with over the top "gays" and dumbed down crap.

Bring back Hancocks half hour---i know that takes a leap of faith but perhaps Bradley Walsh could do the job

If you put that to the Beeb execs you'd get silence and shakes of the heads, if you called it Romesh Ranganathan's Half Hour starring Romesh Ranganathan they'd be falling over themselves to commission it

I would happily allow medical experiments to be carried out on CJ, Barry and Daphne.

I would dearly love to punch CJ hard in the face. More than winning the lottery or solving world poverty.

He'll hit you back and throw you in a canal! We really believe you CJ...

Pretty much bang on. I'm sure I could have a pint with Kevin & Pat but the rest are unbearable. Didn't know about CJdiM's murky past though. You'd of thought it would leave most people with a modicum of humility. Kind of makes his smug and self satisfied demeanor grate even more.

As long as Bargain Hunt continues at 12.15pm when I have my lunch, I'm not bothered what they do.

I imagine the first draft was much more sweary but he has just about nailed it.

I didn't know either, saw the headline earlier in the year and it sounded so ridiculous I didn't even bother to read it. Your comment reminded me so I just did and it led me to that succinct article.

Have they ever actually found a "bargain"? They seem to barter people down to a ridiculous price that would normally result in being told to f off, and then proceed to lose money on it.

Maybe its time that they did different types of licence fee to cover certain parts of the BBC. A digital pack for Radio and the red button etc

That way they'd know for sure what needs to be cut and what needs to be saved

Whilst I do think that's a fair standard, my only problem is that you'd lose a lot of the programming and radio that you don't find on commercial stations, which is part of the BBC's appeal. One of the things I like about the BBC is that it does maintain a degree of aesthetic values in its decision making, which has resulted in some very excellent programming that you just don't see on the other broadcast channels (even if I don't personally like it, the idea that the BBC will produce material for 'everyone' rather than just a market demographic).

I can't really see Capitol Radio doing Moral Maze or Womens hour (which is surprisingly very good).

Many times Stuk!

However.. the programme format is fatally flawed... Buy an item from a retail outlet and try to sell it for more at auction!

Despite that a few experts - James Lewis and Paul Laidlaw make profits buying specialist niche items.

It also depends on the auction house - Anita Manning's in Glasgow always yield profits, but small auctions in remote locations without internet facilities bomb.

More often than not the teams make quite a loss.
