My dad will be turning in his grave at the emission of 'elbows off the table'

I hope you are not teaching our kids how to spell.

Editor of this article has obviously never watched the Jeremy Kyle show!!

Apparently the poster has been produced for display in nursery settings.

Do you have a problem with this?

It's hardly child friendly. Some visual representation would aid a 3 year old understanding.

Presentation is a bit sophisticated for rugrats, I guess, but it's good to know that they're being taught these things early.

Wife beating may be socially acceptable in Sheffield, but it is a different matter in Cheltenham

Don't worry - I had to look up "malaprop". I like it, I shall be using it myself.

Whoever wrote that must be over a 50...

But I could see how this list would appeal to the more mature person

Elbows off the table and feet off seats are a must..

Beatles, Elton John, Andrew Lloyd Webber, so no good British music for the last 30 years..

Most popular food in Britain... Curry.

I saw Fish and chips in the food bit... I'm heading to the chippy right now. I just came back from "foreign" and my stiff upper lip feels a bit limp. A nice bit of cod and some proper fat chips will soon sort that out..

My English teacher was obsessed with Mrs Malaprop from Sheridan's 'The Rivals' back in the 60's.
