A new Striker in January?

Any thoughts ? They may be a thread already but I didn't see it . My view would be to try for Austin again or maybe a European striker with something to prove. I'd allow 20million for striker no more. Anyone else have any thoughts ??

Anyone who says we don't need a striker is braindead. We need someone who has the potential to be a goalscorer. Wickham and Cham both target men. We need to try for someone like Remy again, who is the main target. Oozes class, can score a different pedigree of goal and can get a hatful if given the correct service. Agree !! I think people say we don't need anyone cos were 6th and sitting pretty a couple of results and we drop to 12th or lower again and people will be saying we need a striker bla bla. It's so close from 5th to 12th lets take the opportunity in January splash the money and get a striker keep wickham as a replacement or even with a new striker it would give us the opportunity also to change to 2 strikers up front if needed when teams read us with the whole wingers thing every week. I ain't complaining we are brilliant, but we need a proven goal scorer... Fact

Well you have named the normal culprits AUSTIN and REMY. I don't think Austin would improve the team he will never get 15 plus in the Prem ever again ; Remy might, but the odds are against a mercenary (which is what he is) ever doing it. Wickham is doing fine, why worry about a striker scoring when everyone else is doing their bit?
