What happened to Brannigan's Crisps?

Beef & Mustard - Don't like Mustard
Lamb & Mint - Get some more mate
Smoked Ham & Pickle - And some more of these

Not a huge crisp eater but these were/are(?) lush.
As for the empty packet mentioned previously, 2 folds (left to right then top to bottom) is ample.
And yeah, i also remember shrinking the packets in the oven back in the day. I might try it tomorrow!

Can't believe the slipshod techniques here. It was always done in front of a calor gas fire.

Those little bacon piglets and smiths tubes were the best.

Why are Multi pack crisp packets so much smaller than normal individual bags?

But anyway, yes I used to shrink my Golden Wonder bags under the grill. You got a perfect shrivelled version of the normal pack. Hours of fun before social media arrived...........

My kids still do this all the time.

Given them to classmates this year as Xmas presents, just make sure you do them on some greaseproof/baking paper otherwise they may melt onto the baking tray in the oven.

Punch a hole in the corner and they attach them to their backpacks, etc.

Dorito's packets work especially well.

I like to fold them origami style so they end up as a small triangle before putting in bin.

Very therapeutic.

Me too !

I'm also completely oblivious to how long and why I started doing so !

If you ever wonder if you are getting value for money in your crisp packet try crushing the contents, then open the packet, and you will find a pitiful little pile of crisp crumbs in the bottom of the bag.

Forget all that. Have you seen how Quality Street tins have shrunk over the past few years without (obviously) a corresponding reduction in price?

Yeah, I remember when I used to see a nice big girl's bum and I could say to my mate "you don't get many of them in a Quality Street tin" well these days you could barely get a tit in one never mind an arse.

You can, but you have to cut it off first.

Never did that.
But I recall in bygone days the crisps with a small blue bag of salt in the packet. Those were the days of soda siphons etc and the days when Sunday Lunch pub times were 12.00 - 14.00 and 'Mine Hosts' used to supply free snacks.

I remember those crips with the little bag of salt, one flavour and they tasted awful. They were Smiths who had a virtual monopoly of the crisp market. I expect we will get something similar if Corbyn comes to power, produced by the Peoples' Crisp Collective, only the little bag will be red.
