Nationalism meaning being against federalism.

Hardly right wing.

Euro-sceptism never has been and never will be a solely right wing affair! If the no camp is going to win the referendum they will need to stretch out their appeal to both right AND left wing voters. This is why i'm terrified frigging Farage will hijack this poll to turn it into a referendum on UKIP.

Didn't John Major say the same about exiting the ERM?

The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money.

It's clearly going to be the Remain's campaign strategy to brandish all people who vote Leave as nationalists, racist idiots. I personally don't think this strategy will work. There are a lot of quiet conservatives in this country and a lot of people whose communities have been badly affected by mass immigration.

It's not a matter of left and right, loads of ex-Labour voters in the North switched to "right-wing" UKIP at the general election. It really pisses me off when the BBC brand Marine Le Pen as far right when her policies on economics are pro-welfare to the point of being socialist. You can be anti-immigration on the left and pro-immigration on the right.

Leaving the French out of this for one sec I agree. The sad reality the establishment backed remain campaign has no interest on fighting this campaign on its merits and just wants to try make out anyone considering voting NO to be a closet racist ex BNP current UKIP voter which doesn't hold any water.

So far the only 'remain camp' posts I have seen all include pictures of Nigel Farage along with captions about him disliking Polish people.

I was even having a discussion with another British person about this topic the other day. After telling her of my eurosceptic leanings (in response to her raising the issue), she promptly branded me racist and changed the topic. I find this amusing seeing as anyone who votes to stay in the EU now is essentially backing the idea of an EU immigration police force above the authority of national government. A force solely designed to keep out the wrong coloured people with the wrong coloured passports. Shocking really!

What would be nice in the campaign is some form of unbiased, rhetoric free and put in layman's terms detail of the pros and cons of staying or leaving.
To be honest, I don't know if we should stay or go.

I hope we get that but I dont see how. Where would the data come from enabling people to make a fair conclusion?

Would the EU really be willing to release figures which could be used to argue against it into the public domain?

He was also more interested in getting into Edwina Curry's knickers than running the country when he was PM.

His endorsement of the campaign to stay in the EU together with Blair and Brown is pretty much my confirmation to vote to get out.

I'm ashamed that Major was a Conservative - he has to be one of the worst PM's in my living history!

No one can look into crystal balls and predict the future.

It comes down to how you see this nation and its place in the world allied with how you think the EU is going.
