My sense is that AP is looking for 2 new young midielders, one defensive (Benteleb maybe) and one attacking (Shelvey maybe) There are good reports about Benteleb so a definite yes there, and a lot of negative vibes out there about Shelvey, so a definite no there from this particular punter. However, AP is super (over) confident in his own abilities and he may reckon he can bring out his best form, since he knew him as a young player at Charlton. AP is (my opinion) a very good coach and man manager, but we would be much better off trying to persuade someone like Ryan Mason to sign, even if he is initially reluctant, than take an unnecessary risk on a player like Shelvey who is a bit of a busted flush.
